Chicken Roll

The word “versatility” could easily be synonymous with the tortilla, as it’s both a dish and a plate. This is because its creators – the Mexicans – began wrapping various fillings in a corn flour tortilla. The result is convenient (you can eat it with your hands!) and versatile (you can add any filling you like).

By the way, the Spanish also claim credit for the tortilla, for whom it resembles their traditional omelet with ingredients of their choice.

We don’t care where the tortilla originated! What matters is that we love it for its nutritional value and how quickly you can prepare a tortilla – a roll for a snack – in just 5 minutes. You will need:

4 tortillas

½ grilled chicken

2 romaine lettuce leaves

8 cherry tomatoes

½ pack Street Food sauce

150 g hard cheese

½ tsp cumin and coriander

hot ground red pepper – to taste

Process:

1. Remove the chicken bones and shred the meat by hand. Tear the romaine lettuce leaves into medium-sized pieces. Cut the cherry tomatoes in half.
2. Lay the tortillas on a work surface and spread Street Food sauce over the entire surface. Sprinkle with the spice mixture, then the cheese.
3. Place the chicken on the edge closest to you, then the romaine lettuce, then the cherry tomatoes. Roll up, tucking in the open sides. Press lightly to seal the roll.
4. Grill the rolls. Cut each roll in half crosswise and serve immediately.
